J16 Designs works across luxury residential interiors, premium commercial projects and complete design-and-build execution. One studio carries the idea from concept through construction, procurement and the final styling day — so the room you imagined is the room you live in.
Led by Ovayoza Makoju, the creative team is defined by a quiet architectural identity: calm plans, honest materials and pieces that are distinctive rather than decorative.

A double-height family residence in Lagos, brought to stillness around cleft slate, black marble and oxblood leather — completed in 2026, with J16 Designs taking the house from carcass to completion: interior architecture, finishes, joinery, lighting, furniture and art.

We build rooms from a short list of honest materials and let their texture do the talking: plaster that holds light, stone with a memory, metal that ages well.

Ovayoza leads the J16 creative team — designers, makers and site managers who carry each project from the first conversation to the final styling day. Her eye is for proportion and tactility: rooms that feel resolved before you notice why.
